The specifics
Nothing is recorded
While a mic is on, speech is turned into text — audio and video are never saved. Muting pauses your own transcription.
Transcription is the room’s, not yours
One button in the call controls, red when the huddle is being transcribed, grey when it isn’t. Anyone can flip it either way mid-call, and everyone is told who did.
React without unmuting
The smiley in the control bar puts an emoji on your tile for a few seconds — it rides the minimised pill too. Live only; nothing is saved.
Per call, not per workspace
Turning transcription off applies to that huddle. The next one starts with it on again.
